The sketch as finding
In an intense process of finding like the one an artists submerges into, one of the main points of his adventure is based on sketching, drawing, doodling and jotting down everything that marks his interests and his areas of research. Many of these sketches, historically compiled in notebooks, allow the spectator to begin to understand the complex world that unfolds behind the final work of art.
The subjects that surround the creation of a painting are immensely varied, and in this series all of those interests that are highlighted at a special moment appear. This is a moment when searching and finding become the same process and they come to life on these canvases. In them appear, an innumerable amount of day to day interests of an artist that tries to find her real painting and find herself in it.
A world full of text, images, drawing, painting, pieces and bits of experimetation comes together in this work which tries to integrate a whole creative momentum on its surface. The spontaneity and dynamism of the images comes from those same instants generated by the liberty and freedom of the sketch and the doodle. Not being able to specify the questions and answers that open up to the artist, in these paintings all of her world comes together so that the spectator can dive into those same questionings and at the same time begin a dialogue with his own statements.
